Attorney Paul W. Stenzel
Paul Stenzel practices family law with an emphasis on mediation and client-centered problem-solving. He has extensive experience in court and as a mediator. He worked as a part-time Deputy Family Court Commissioner in Racine County for seven years where he presided over all types of family cases. He represents individual clients and has mediated family cases throughout southeastern Wisconsin. His dual experiences are the foundation of Paul’s view that the best resolutions are created by the clients, not imposed by the court.
Paul’s approach is to listen to the client and then provide education and guidance. Too often lawyers think they should make decisions rather than helping clients make their own. Paul’s goal is to assist clients in making the best possible decisions for themselves and their family with a minimum of conflict and cost. Paul is a member of both the Family Law and Alternative Dispute Resolution Sections of the State Bar of Wisconsin, Collaborative Family Law Council of Wisconsin, Wisconsin Association of Mediators, and AFCC. He has published several articles on federal Indian law issues and provides ongoing expertise to the tribal court judges. Paul has testified before the Wisconsin Supreme Court about family law mediation and tribal issues. Paul joined Hansen & Hildebrand, SC Of Counsel because he shares the firm’s commitment to providing high quality mediation and client representation services focused on constructive negotiation and positive outcomes for families. Paul’s experience as a court official, mediator, and individual client advocate provides a unique and valuable perspective for his clients. |
